The PPDAA

A Word From the

Executive Director

In the last two years, the Republic of South Sudan has made significant progress in establishing its public procurement and disposal of assets system. His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit, the President of the Republic of South Sudan, kick-started the process by appointing Board Members and Executive Director of the Authority on 17th February 2023.

Who We Are

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Finance and Planning of South Sudan. We are mandated to regulate and monitor Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets and to ensure the application of fair, competitive, transparent, accountable, non-discriminatory and value for money Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets standards and practices in South Sudan.

Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act 2018

The purpose of this Act is to provide the legal framework establishing and governing an open, transparent, accountable, and efficient system of Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets for all Government institutions and related entities.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 83 of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act, 2018; the Minister, on the recommendation of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority and the approval of Parliament, hereby issues the following regulations:
